Condobolin

If Lachlan had a capital, “Condo” would be it – a laid-back, riverside town of around 3,500 people that sits in a desirable Goldilocks sweet-spot of ‘not too big, not too small’.

Built along the gentle bends of the Lachlan River, Condobolin is the main commercial centre for the region – with a bustling array of shops and eateries on hand to service the surrounding farming communities. But that doesn’t mean all work and no play. On the contrary, it’s a great place to experience the great outdoors – from camping and fishing to golfing, lawn bowls, swimming, or enjoying watersports at nearby popular Gum Bend Lake.

Art and culture are on full display too, with a number of museums, crafts and the impressive Wiradjuri Study Centre – the latter providing unique insights into First Nations history as well as artworks and teaching opportunities. Condo is also where you’ll find the famous Utes in the Paddock sculpture park, plus other nearby Lachlan Valley sculptures – just a hint to the unique creativity of this region.

Reservior Hill

Reservoir Hill

Located at the northern edge of Condoblin, Reservoir Hill provides panoramic views across the town and surrounding plans – an easy drive or walk from town.
